TRAINING STRATEGY
There is no perfect single model when developing a
corporate training strategy to meet the ICAO language
proficiency requirements. Any plan will depend on resources,
time, financial budgets, numbers of people involved, their
present level of English, etc.
However, it is clear that any strategy needs to be clearly thought
through and be integrated. Each part of the training process
needs to complement the other parts. Different people will also
require different programmes.
A successful training strategy for an airline or ATS provider may
include some or all of the components below:
Benchmark testing (for example, b-TEA)
Part-time courses delivered in the home country (either "in-
house" or through partnership with a reputable local training
provider)
Intensive courses delivered in the home country (either "in-
house" or through partnership with a reputable local training
provider)
Internet based courses (for example, www.climb-level4.com )
Short, intensive courses in the UK
Licensing testing (for example, TEA)
